Gibraltar Synthetic 200

Gibraltar Synthetic 200 Compressor Oil is a new high-viscosity, high-molecular weight, synthetic PAO (Polyalphaolefin) with special additives for use in reciprocating compressor cylinders.

This specialty product was formulated to produce a high-viscosity compressor oil which would provide the necessary sealing, continuous film-forming, and oxidation resistance as well as meet in full the requirements regarding purity, low moisture content, low deposit formation, and food contact approval.

The additives in this lubricant:

  • Protect against oxidation and thermal degradation and deposit-forming tendencies at higher temperatures.
  • Resist washing and entrained water by a water-displacing, metal-wetting additive system.
  • Exhibit excellent water separation qualities in the presence of excessive water in the gas stream.
  • Provide an extra measure of protection against wear by displacing moisture from surfaces of bearings, gears, and other mating surfaces.
  • Assist in quick release of entrained gases.

APPLICATIONS:

Suggested applications for Gibraltar Synthetic 200 Compressor Oil include all reciprocating compressor applications on N2, CO2, air, hydrocarbon gases, hydrogen, and sulfur dioxide.

OTHER APPLICATION INFORMATION:

  • All synthetic PAO and special additive components.
  • High-viscosity at high temperature compressor applications.
